But – where do go from there? I offer a range of nutrition services from the place of being a Registered Dietitian. They range from full on medical nutrition therapy, to nutrition counseling, to meal planning. If you are located within close proximity, I even have ‘shop with an RD’ offerings.

Food Philosophy

When I say that everyone has unique nutrition needs, I’m not just saying that from a biochemical standpoint. I believe that everything from preferences to tolerances – availability to finances – time to culture come into play. I don’t believe in trying to follow a strict regimen for a balanced lifestyle nor do I believe in fad diets that have strict exclusionary rules. Education, compassion , mindfulness, and time are the four pillars of my food philosophy.

Education

Knowledge is power. Knowing about food choices, terminology, fact vs. fiction and even knowing yourself is the foundation to making choices that leave you feeling proud of yourself

Compassion

Compassion means you can expect to receive it from me as your coach, but that you will also learn to be compassionate with yourself as well. Giving yourself some grace in life recognizes that you are human and are trying your best

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is at the heart of our choices. Learning to recognize when we are presented with those choices and working through them in a way that will best serve us is a large part of changing our relationship with food

Time

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was your current lifestyle. It takes time to change our habits, so it's important to understand that by utilizing the other pillars consistently, over time you'll create an unshakable foundation of health

Nutrition For Every Need

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve got a specific pain point or gap in your skills and knowledge, that can usually be helped with a particular service. If you feel like you need a bit of everything, the nutrition counseling would be your best option. Scheduling a free consult chat is the best bet so we can determine your goals and what you need to get there.

Nutrition therapy is geared towards managing specific health conditions with the use of food. These include things like Diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, IBS, etc. Nutrition counseling is to help you improve the overall balance and quality of your diet without specific requirements sometimes mandated by a health condition.

I generally don’t recommend diets with names and a lot of rules because their efficacy can be shaky due to being so strict and exclusionary. If you truly want to pursue a specific style of eating, I’ll discuss the pros/con, what the research says, and help you to do so safety. However, my philosophy is all about balance and encourage that more than anything.

I don’t have an answer to that. I dislike people who promise certain results when everybody is an individual and will respond differently to things. My goal is to create a strong foundation and gradually dial things in, in a way that is sustainable so that not only will weight start to come off, but other (equally if not more) important health factors will improve as well.

This is a very individual question based upon history of relapses, current treatment protocol, and interdisciplinary care. It’s very possible to work together as I focus on treating yourself with compassion and aiming for balance, but there are factors to discuss that are best addressed in a consult chat

These services focus solely on the nutrition area of your life. My health coaching program focusing on all areas (including nutrition). It can also involve metaphysical practices whereas my  nutrition services are almost purely science and evidence based.

I am not a prescribing provider, nor do I support the widespread use of GLPs without Diabetes for a multitude of reasons.
