The culmination of all my other services into a cohesive program that helps you becoming the healthiest, most balanced version of yourself.
Any progress, no matter how small, is still a step up the mountain of realization and it all starts with one little thing
This is dependent upon your needs, goals, and wishes. Some might just need guidance for a few months while others will go for a year or longer. This is something we’ll discuss during our icebreaker chat
I believe that while I can educate you and fill in knowledge gaps, it’s ultimately you who knows yourself better than anyone. I rely on techniques like motivational interviewing, appreciative inquiry, and the transtheoretical model to help you discover more about yourself and the direction in which you want to move.
Absolutely not! I understand that it’s something unfamiliar and considered a bit ‘woo-woo’. Some people love that and others don’t. It’s something I offer to complement my coaching because I feel it offers multiple avenues for people to grow and learn about themselves. It’s definitely not required if you just aren’t into it.
Coaching has become a big, broad, and highly unregulated term. Anyone can call themselves a coach and let’s face it, it’s a trendy thing right now. The education and experience required is minimal and I’ve seen some sketchy ‘certificates’ created with no real clout.
This is why the National Board of Medical Examiners (yes – the same one doctors have to go through) decided that there needed to be some standards. The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching was created for that purpose. They have outlined standards, competencies, and ethics for coaches to provide a credential that actually means something.
As such, I have fulfilled 2/3 of the requirements to become board certified. I’ve completed an accredited program and conducted 50+ sessions. All that’s left is to take the exam (which only happens 3 times per year). After I pass that, I’ll be an NBC-HWC.
Furthermore, many coaches boast that they are holistic but often avoid certain life areas like finances, environment, relationships, and spirituality. Everything is so interconnected that I recognize the need for these to be in balance as well. I don’t shy away from coaching you in these areas so that you can find balance in all parts of your life.
