Wild Ginger Wellness

I’ve spent years finding my dharma, my life purpose. I’ve also spent years as a seeker of knowledge for my own personal journey. The tables have turned and after having learned so much. Now I want to help to guide those who are on their own paths.

This is about taking what I’ve learned, sorted through, tried and tested, and offer it to you, dear reader, as a way to help you along your path to wellness. This means offering up inspiration, motivation, science, various techniques, and tools to help you discover what feels right in your life. Then you can incorporate them and become the best and healthiest version of yourself.

  1. Provide legitimate nutrition information

Legitimate, evidence-based nutrition is what I’m talking about…not fad diets or kooky recommendations spouted by a random internet influencer. People who are on their path to wellness should feel competent and secure in choosing the best foods for their personal wellness

2. Eliminate intimidation around starting a yoga practice

Western culture and social media can present yoga in a way far from it’s true nature. You don’t have to be a gymnast or have a certain body type to practice it. Not only is yoga for every body, but it’s also far more than just the asanas (poses)! I want to provide those who want to dip their toes into the practice with a well rounded representation of what yoga is and how they can live it in their everyday lives

3. Provide guidance on how to develop a spiritual practice as part of holistic health, even if you aren’t religious

“Holistic” is the trendy new buzzword in the health field. Often, that term is shunned by conventional medical practitioners. This because of it’s association with ‘woo woo’ practices and those without credentials. On the flip side, alternative healers warn against conventional medicine because of their lack of holistic approaches.

Holistic, however, encompasses caring for the whole person and understanding how everything is interconnected. Even in the medical field, many don’t have the time to explore all facets of a person’s life to see the root cause of their symptoms. Even in a ‘holistic’ setting, many people don’t want to help others explore the missing part of their being – spirituality.

This can (and will be) a whole post on it’s own. However, I’ve discovered that by developing a connection to something greater, we can start to find wholeness that fills in the missing piece of our health journey.

4. Recommend products and methods to reduce environmental impact

The amount of waste we, as humans, produce in order to live disturbs and saddens me greatly. The impact that our lifestyles have had on the environment is essentially irreversible at this point. For years I’ve been working towards reducing my impact in various ways.

We’re so conditioned to do things a certain way, that it’s hard to know how to make changes. I’ll provide ways to help you cut your impact and feel better about living a more sustainable lifestyle.

5. Inspire, motivate, and educate you on your journey to wholeness

If you’ve ever dealt with things like executive dysfunction where you just can’t manage to accomplish the things you know you need/should/want to do or just a general lack of motivation, I’m here to help get you out of that funk through regular articles on tips and tricks to beat procrastination and sense of being directionless.

I’ve tried so many things over the years and have learned a thing or two in the process. Not just in life, but through my training as a health coach and Registered Dietitian. Different techniques will work for different people and it’s my deepest hope that you can find some inspiration within the words on this site to move forward on becoming the healthiest version of yourself.

Starting out on my journey to help others, I focused solely on the field of nutrition. However, as the years went by and both myself and my interests evolved, I realized that I’m not hear to solely dish out nutrition advice. I can be of service to others through my lived experiences and formal education so that they can heal themselves in all facets of their lives. It’s not just about food and exercise. I want to provide information for the seekers looking to grow in all areas of their lives in order to become the healthiest and happiest version of themselves.
